A rider presented an invitation to the Roman court; it read,
"Friends, you are invited to join Emperor Agrixus Claves in Carthage for a harvest feast, as a sign of courtesy please keep your armed entourage to a minimum. Carthage will be neutral to all for this one occasion, we hope you will join us.
~Emperor Agrixus Claves"

Thinking over this invitation, Avitas decided he would go. Taking only Pontius and 5 armed guards, including his Banner Bearer, he set off for Carthage.

I wouldn't trust those vandals for 1 second, your highness. Be constantly Vigilant! We must take more men with us. I believe they are trying to kill us! *dramatic score ensues*

"Why should we not trust them?" Asked Avitas. "And, if they kill me, so be it! Rome shall find a new Emporer, who perhaps could allow them to live in happier days. And if you also die, who shall miss you, apart from the next Emporer, in need of a good General?"

"Fine, fine. Lead us to dea-the vandals, oh valiant caesar, ruler of the masses, claimer of empires!"
