Landuin only glanced at the Dane as he left, most curious as to why he had to leave so suddenly. His heart fearing the worst, he turned to Agrixus and responded, "no such intent was declared to our King - the attack came as he crossed to Rome to attend the Pope's inaugaration, an event he could not avoid. We thank you, however, for your regrets on the matter - they are much appreciated. My King will wish to know where Frank, Visigoth and Vandal all stand now - what should I tell him?"

"For now as friends with similar interests, but do not take this as the Vandals becoming soft." he gestured to the door "I believe all is said and the English may wish to speak to you"

"Very well, I thank you," Landuin replied. "And your war with Rome has shown your strength, that we Franks do not deny or dispute - you have our respect in such regards." Turning he walked through the doors, glancing around and looking significantly at Hengest to see if he sought to speak with him.

As Landuin's eyes met his he nodded and rose.
"This way, if you will?" he stated, beckoning the Frankish emmisary to follow him to somewhere that they could camly discuss political matters. France had shown is strength diplomatically, it was somethign England respected. Being a christian country, Hengest despised its religion, but remembers it had only recently turned christian and could always be turned back, if it would be possible.

"As you wish, King Hengest," Landuin replied, following the Saxon King to another room. "What is it you wish to discuss?"

"Two things, the first of which being Normandy. I am sure you will agree my invasion fo Cherbourg was justified, and I am willing to buy both Rouen and Caen from you for a high price,"

"Frankish lands are not for sale," Landuin replied. "By now already our army goes to secure Rouen, and Caen next soon. Cherbourg is yours by right of conquest, we reocgnise this. But to simply sell those lands to you after invasion would imply weakness - a thing we cannot afford right now, lest we be giving the wrong impression to the world."

"This is most dissapointing," replied Hengest, "And now for my second point, I have heard of an arch-druid still residing in Brest, I wish to speak with him, please send him to London prior to this feast's end,"

"If there is such a druid in Brest, we shall send him to you on our behalf," Landuin said then. "Though we have not heard anything substantial of his existence, I am afraid."

Agrixus stood up from his table, Johann watched him patiently. After seeing he had gained the attention of those who had not left he spoke, "Friends gathered here, tomorrow my armies will finally bring the attack to the Roman homeland, I invite you all to ride with me and see the glory of the Vandals first hand. I feel like it has grown late and I must soon retire, there is only so much wine, food and dancing an old man can handle."

"Well, wait for the morrow and you shall see our glorious armies march forward to a victory against the Roman warmongers." he said with a grin on his face, "Now my friends I must retire, accomodations have been made ready for you to stay in." They had all been provided with royal appartements, fit for who they were, the most influential leaders in Europe, fine silks, wine, fruit, women if they so desired, it was all there for them. Agrixus departed followed by his two generals flanking him his advisors soon followed suit, leaving Johann sitting in contemplation of something.
